1. Service Description

Mentu is a productivity app to manage tasks, notes, and reminders (including Do Not Disturb preferences and workdays), with theme and language customization.

2. Account and Eligibility

• You must create an account with a verified email address.
• You represent that you meet the minimum age required in your jurisdiction (e.g., 13 years or the applicable age).
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and notifying us of unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

• Mentu Premium (Yearly): USD 7.99/year (prices may vary by country/currency).
• 7‑day free trial: managed by the App Store. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a yearly subscription.
• Auto‑renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
• Manage or cancel:
  • iOS: open Manage Subscriptions in Apple ID settings.
  • Android (when available): Google Play Subscriptions.
• Billing and refunds: processed by Apple/Google under their policies; refund requests must be made directly to them.
• Restore purchases: you can restore your subscription from within the App.
• No proration or partial refunds for started periods.

4. User Content

• Tasks and notes are your content. You grant us a limited license to store and display it within the App as needed to provide the service.
• Tasks and notes are stored locally on your device. Some images (e.g., profile photo or note images) may be stored remotely for use within the App.
• You must not upload illegal, offensive, or infringing content.

5. Privacy and Data

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the App, as described in our Privacy Policy. In general:

• Identification: verified email and optional display name.
• Content: tasks/notes locally; some images stored securely.
• Preferences: language, reminders, Do Not Disturb, workdays.
• Subscription: purchase and entitlement status required to enable Premium.
• Notifications: use of system permissions; you can change them in the device and App settings.
• Third parties: authentication, storage, and notifications providers (e.g., Firebase/Expo) and App Store/Google Play for purchases.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not access or use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or overload our services.
• Do not reverse engineer or attempt to bypass licensing/subscription or security mechanisms.
• Do not use the App for unlawful purposes or to infringe third‑party rights.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, code, and visual elements are owned by their respective rights holders and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non‑transferable license to use the App under these Terms.

8. Termination and Account Deletion

• You can delete your account in Settings > Delete Account. Upon confirmation, we will remove your data stored on our servers (e.g., user‑associated images) and sign you out.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Interruptions or data loss may occur. Keep backups of important information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of data, or loss of profits related to the use or inability to use the App.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms when necessary. We will publish the current version on this page and, if appropriate, notify you within the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States (and the state of our incorporation), without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules. Exclusive jurisdiction shall lie with those courts unless otherwise required by applicable law.
